Ingredients for Brown Butter Peach Cobbler:
Peaches: You can use fresh, canned, or frozen peaches. I prefer canned peaches because they’re a convenient pantry staple and available year-round.
Butter: Salted butter that is browned to add a rich, nutty flavor.
Sugar: A combination of brown sugar and granulated sugar creates the perfect balance of sweetness and moisture.
Spices: Cinnamon and nutmeg add warmth, while vanilla enhances the overall flavor.
All-purpose flour: Gives the cobbler its structure while keeping the topping tender.
Baking powder: Helps the cobbler topping rise and become light and fluffy.
Buttermilk: Adds richness and tenderness to the biscuit batter. You can use either whole milk with lemon juice to make buttermilk if you don’t have it.
Serving/ Topping Ideas:
- Vanilla ice cream
- Powdered sugar
- Pecans
- Walnuts
- whipped cream
