frozen raspberry lemon drop

If you know me then you know I love me a good lemon drop. A few years ago, I shared a refreshing Frozen Lemon Drop here and everyone loved it so it was only right that I turned my Raspberry Lemon Drop into the perfect frozen conocotion. I recently partnered with Western Vodka on Instagram to share a fun summer cocktail and when I saw their lemon vodka this was a no brainer.

What’s a Lemon Drop?

A lemon drop is a classic martini cocktail made with gin or vodka, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup. It’s usually served in a chilled martini glass lined with sugar to help cut the tart flavor. They’re absolutely delicious and one of my go-to cocktails.

This frozen version takes this classic version to the next level.

Why you’ll love this Frozen Raspberry Lemon Drop?

  • Why You’ll Love This Frozen Raspberry Lemon Drop:
Super refreshing: Like all frozen cocktails, this one is perfect for cooling down during those blazing hot days.
  • Sweet, tangy, and bursting with flavor: The raspberries bring just the right amount of natural sweetness to balance out the zingy lemon—every sip is bold, bright, and irresistible.

Here’s what you’ll need for this frozen raspberry lemon drop:

  • Vodka: I used lemon vodka for an extra citrus punch — this one’s my favorite and super smooth. Don’t have it? Regular plain vodka works great too.
  • Lemon juice: fresh is best
  • Raspberry Lemonade: frozen into ice cubes. These silicone ice cube trays are my go-to — they pop out easily and don’t crack like plastic ones.
  • Simple syrup: optional depending on how sweet you like your drinks. This also helps cut the tart flavor
  • Orange Liqueur: I used Cointreau, but Triple Sec works just as well. It compliments the lemon flavor adding another citrus note.

Recipe variations:

  • Make it strawberry: if raspberries aren’t really your thing, feel free to switch it up with strawberries or whatever other flavor you’d like
  • On the rocks: if you don’t want frozen, try my classic raspberry lemon drop on the rocks

Tips on making the best Frozen Raspberry Lemon Drop

  • Freeze the Raspberry Lemonade: I highly recommend freezing the juice into frozen juice cubes rather than using ice. This will prevent the drink from separating and getting watery.
  • Lemon zest and sugar the rim: the sugar helps balance the tartness of the drink and the lemon zest adds even more lemon flavor. Lemon throughout the whole cocktail.
  • Chill the glass: serve this Raspberry Lemon Drop in a chilled martini glass or coupe glass.
