If you’re looking for a cocktail to enjoy during your Cinco de Mayo festivities, make this frozen mango pineapple margarita!!!

You guys already know how much I love frozen cocktails. So it was only right to bring another one to the blog.

Margaritas are one of my favorite cocktails to serve when I have guests over, especially when they’re frozen… They just scream “I’m on vacation”. I absolutely love to pull out my pretty glasses to serve them in. They’re definitely a crowd pleaser.

No better way to welcome warmer weather, than this delicious frozen mango pineapple margarita!

What you’ll need-

Mango- frozen mango cubes. Feel free to use fresh. Be sure to add ice.
Pineapple- frozen. Feel free to use fresh pineapple. Add more ice.
Tequila- quality is key. Choose a good quality tequila.
Pineapple Juice- use your favorite pineapple juice to help blend everything together.
Simple Syrup- substitute for honey or agave.
Orange Liqueur- I used Cointreau. Feel free to use Triple sec or Grand Marnier.
Lime Juice- fresh is best
Ice- optional, but if you like more of a runny texture ice will help. I try to limit ice when making blended drinks so that it won’t become watery.

This Frozen Mango Pineapple Margarita is really simple to make.

  1. First, prep the glasses. In a shallow dish as wide as your glass, add shredded coconut and lime zest. Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass. Then flip the glass upside down into the shredded coconut & lime mixture. OR add agave to the shallow dish to rim the glass, then dip the glass into the shredded coconut and lime.
  2. For the cocktail, add frozen mangos, pineapples, pineapple juice and your basic margarita ingredients- tequila, simple syrup, Cointreau, and lime juice to a high power blender. Add a little ice, if desired and pulse until smooth.
  3. To serve- pour the cocktail into the prepared margarita glass. Add a lime wheel straw and enjoy!

Best Blender for Frozen Drinks?

I’ve had my share of blenders and so far my two favorites are the Ninja Auto iQ and the Nurtribullet. I have the personal smoothie blenders and can get about 2 servings using the larger cup.
