How To Make Salmon Tostadas?
These Salmon Tostadas are super simple to make and packed with so much flavor. You’d think they’d take hours to make.
Start by preparing the mango salsa, which is refreshingly simple: combine fresh or frozen mango with diced red onions, chopped cilantro, diced jalapeño, and a squeeze of lime juice. Season to taste with salt and pepper, then chill until serving time.
Next, season the salmon and bake it in a 400-degree oven for 13-15 minutes. While the salmon cooks, fry up the corn tortillas until they turn golden and crispy. This adds the perfect crunchy texture to each bite.
If you’re in the mood for something extra, whip up a quick guacamole; otherwise, simply mash down slices of avocado.
Now, it’s time to assemble! Spread a layer of avocado/guacamole onto each tostada shell, followed by generous pieces of juicy salmon. Top it all off with the vibrant mango salsa, crumbled Queso Fresco, and your favorite salsa.
Now, all that’s left to do is enjoy these delicious and flavorful Salmon Tostadas.
NOTE: If you have extra time, i highly recommend throwing the salmon on the grill for that iconic BBQ flavor! This will add an extra layer of flavor and pair nicely with the mango salsa.

Ingredients to make Salmon Tostadas
Here’s what you’ll need to make the Salmon Tostadas.
- Corn Tortillas: These create the most perfect crispy tostada when fried.
- Salmon: you can use fresh or frozen. If frozen be sure the salmon is fully thawed before cooking.
- Guac or Avocado: If you’re feeling extra quickly prepare guacamole or you can simply mash down avocado for these tostadas.
- Olive Oil + Oil for frying: I used olive oil to season the salmon. And canola oil for frying the tortillas.
- Seasonings: I used a few pantry staples to season the salmon. Onion powder, garlic powder, Citrus garlic seasoning, chile powder and salt + pepper.

For the Mango Salsa
- Mango: fresh or frozen will work. I prefer fresh.
- Cilantro: Finely chop. It adds the perfect flavor!
- Jalapeño: if you don’t like it too spicy be sure to remove the seeds.
- Lime Juice: highly recommend fresh lime juice for a burst of citrus.
- Seasonings: Salt, pepper and Tajìn to taste.

Can these Salmon Tostadas be made ahead?
Absolutely! For convenience, cook the salmon and prepare the salsa in advance. I recommend frying or air-frying the tortilla shells just before serving. Alternatively, you can opt for pre-made tostada shells to make things even simpler. This makes the meal perfect for meal prep throughout the week.
Be sure to store the salmon, salsa, and other ingredients separately in containers until you’re ready to assemble and enjoy
