Ingredients for Chili Garlic Noodles

  • Noodles: I prefer using the squiggly noodles from Trader Joes. I also like using these from MomoFuku. Feel free to use any rice noodle for this dish.
  • Garlic: the more the better!
  • Red pepper flakes: Bring on the heat!
  • Brown sugar: If you don’t have it granulated sugar or honey will also work.
  • Soy sauce: I like using both light and dark soy sauce. Dark for color and light for sodium.
  • Sesame: I used sesame oil and seeds in this recipe.
  • Green onions
  • Shallots: Optional, but I love the flavor this brings
  • Chicken bouillon: this is optional but I like adding a little touch.
  • Acid: I like to add a splash of vinegar and lime juice to these noodles to bring a burst of flavor and also helps balance the heat.
  • Sriracha
