Tropical Rum Punch. As if the color wasn’t eye catching enough, the FLAVORS in this cocktail are unreal. With notes of citrus and the pineapple this cocktail is sure to transport you to your favorite tropical destination.

Word on the street is, it’s National Rum day. Soooo in honor of this occasion, I made my Tropical Rum Punch.
It’s also a great cocktail to make when hosting. You can double the measurements to serve a party. Oh the times I remember chugging Rum Punch at the parties in college lol #memories. Rum punch was our go-to in college. As it was affordable, flavorful and snuck up on you without tasting TOO strong.
What you’ll need to make this Rum Punch
Rum– it wouldn’t be rum punch without the rum. I used Bacardi. You can also play around with Malibu Coconut Rum or even spiced Rum.
Organic Orange Pineapple Juice– These two are a match made. Giving all the tropical feels.
Fresh citrus – orange and lime slices not only brighten up the look of the punch it also enhances the flavor adding some fun sweet and sour notes to the mix.
Fresh Mint– y’all should know by now, I LOVE pretty drinks. Fresh mint is always a great garnish for cocktails. And the cooling effect pairs great with citrus flavors
Fresh Limes– Not only does the tanginess of the lime juice add flavor and bring everything together, slicing up the lime makes for a great garnish.
Grenadine- I used this strictly for the sunset vibes lol. This sugary syrup will help sweeten up your drink. It’s also high in sugar which causes the color to float straight to the bottom creating a beautiful sunset effect.
Frozen Pineapple- I added frozen pineapple to add some additional sweetness and also help with cooling the cocktail without making it watery.
Simple Syrup– This is optional but I added this to sweeten things up.
How to make it
Here’s how you make my tropical rum punch:
In a pitcher, combine fruit juices, rum, and grenadine syrup. Add in fresh citrus slices, lime juice, and frozen pineapple. Mix it until it’s well combined. pour into individual glasses and top with additional grenadine and a lime wheel and enjoy. SO easy.
You can easily make this cocktail into a mocktail by opting out of the rum. It Is still delicious and super flavorful.
