Tropical Summer Punch Mocktail

Bring on the tropical vibes with this Tropical Summer Punch Mocktail. This non-alcoholic drink is made with a delightful blend of fresh fruit juice, zesty citrus, homemade strawberry syrup, and topped with a fizzy finish. Not only is this drink stunning, but it’s super delicious and comes together in just a few easy steps.

There’s no better way to cool off in this hot Texas heat than sipping a nice, refreshing drink. This mocktail is inspired by my Tropical Rum Punch I shared this time last year. And I’m so excited to share the mocktail version. This mocktail is the perfect summer treat and works great when hosting.

Earlier this year, I shared a series of mocktails and got a lot of great feedback. So I’m going to make it a point to create mocktail versions of the cocktails I create. Because everyone deserves a good drink.

Ingredients for Tropical Summer Punch

Traditionally rum punch is made with grenadine. But I made a homemade strawberry simple syrup that worked perfectly for this recipe. If you’re short on time, feel free to use grenadine as well for that beautiful sunset affect.

How to make Strawberry Simple Syrup

Simple syrup is really easy to make! It’s equal parts sugar and water. And for this strawberry simple syrup a cup of strawberries, frozen or fresh and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

Step 1: To start, remove the stems and cut strawberries in fourths. Place the strawberries in a saucepan, with sugar and water and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

Step 2: Simmer for about 20 minutes, until the strawberries soften, and you get a syrup consistency rich red color. Stir occasionally.

Step 3: Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer. Pushing down the strawberries with a spoon to get all the liquid out.

Store in a mason jar for up to 3 weeks.

Garnish Ideas-

I’m all about a good garnish and to give this drink that “wow” factor– garnish with a handful of fresh mint, sliced orange wheels and limes.

Best Alcohol for this Tropical Summer Punch Mocktail

if you’re looking for something stronger, tequila or rum would work best.Tequila always pairs great with fruity drinks. And rum or even a coconut rum would be just as tasty giving the cocktail a nice tropical vibe. Feel free to explore!
